Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the holy season of Lent, a time of repentance, self-examination, and preparation for the celebration of Easter.  In our Ash Wednesday service, we gather in quiet prayer and listen to Scripture that calls us to return to the Lord with all our heart, and join communion.

During the Imposition of Ashes, a cross of ashes is placed on the forehead with the words, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return,” reminding us of both our mortality and God’s mercy.  All are welcome to join us as we begin a holy Lent together in worship and reflection.
