Beginning with the strange phrase, "his delight will be in the fear of the Lord" (delight in fear!??) Fr. Allen begins to unpack the prophetic vision of Peace: the finely-honed and equitable version the Messiah will initiate and the reality that it can never be an arrived at state-of-mind but an ongoing journey towards that most elusive of human aspirations: widespread justice. Drawing on Paul and John the Baptist's clarity Fr. Allen ends with a practical challenge to himself and for all who listen.
