Using the simplest of tools – pencil and paper – learn to reliably draw what you see. In early classes you will be provided with drawing subjects; in later ones, you may choose your own subject. Be guided in the techniques needed to create a beautiful picture, including ‘painting’ with powdered graphite and ‘drawing’ with your eraser.

About the artist:

I grew up in the border country of England and Wales, in an area of outstanding natural beauty and surrounded by the artistic and spiritual traditions of the Celts and Anglo-Saxons. I studied at Manchester Polytechnic (formerly the Manchester School of Art), receiving an Honours degree in the History of Design. A member of St. Matthew’s for nine years, I continue to pursue a path of artistic and spiritual discovery, and teach pencil drawing and Celtic art.
