Sermon Notes

  • Sermon on the Baptism of the Lord 2023 Year A.docx

Exploring questions people have asked him over the years about Baptism, Fr. Allen expands on the meaning of Jesus' own "baptism of repentance," something that initially seems at odds with the claim that Jesus was sinless.  But as is often the case with the biblical stories, it is this seeming incongruence that holds at least a partial clue to what is going on i.e. what Jesus needed and therefore what we all need.
