Good Morning Friends,
This week our community engages in our important Annual Vestry Meeting (12:30 p.m. after the Sunday service) via Zoom.  I've sent out the Reports and Financials as Part 1 and 2 last week.  Here is the Zoom link once again
As Lent unfolds there are great opportunities to participate in online activities all available through our website (thanks Jolette for working on the site; thanks to her, Dick Martin, and Paul Thiessen for hosting weekly).  This coming Tuesday evening (Mar 2) at 6 pm. I'll be a panel participant in an interfaith event called "Where is God in Pandemic Suffering" https://bit.ly/3kvwWPW.  If you'd like to listen in please click the link in this email and then go to the bottom of that page to click the youtube link.  Hope to see some of you there.
Thanks to Dick Martin for officiating and preaching this past Sunday while I was chairing the St. Thomas Annual Vestry Meeting.  I really appreciate Dick's gifts and willingness to serve in and through the online offerings on a weekly basis and his willingness to help lead "Service of the Word" services from time to time.
This coming Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm, The Rt. Rev. John Stephens will be seated as the next Bishop of New Westminster.  We welcome his ministry among us.  If you're interested in attending that Zoom service (as I will be!) please click this link https://bit.ly/2MocN1p or go to the diocesan website.
Back to sermon writing and the puzzle of "the cross and the place of shame in our lives" (Mark 8:27-38).  I look forward to worshipping with you virtually this Sunday and seeing your faces at the Annual Meeting.
Serving with you,
Allen+
