Galatians 2:15-21 (w/ glances at 1 Kings 21 and Luke 7:36-8:3)

Speaking on one of the most influential and possibly most widely misunderstood texts of the New Testament (Galatians 2:15-21), Fr. Allen begins to unpack the idea that the Christian journey is not about adding technique to technique or rule to rule, however helpful many "rule of life" exercises or habit-breaking techniques might be.  It is not about doubling down on "laws" that define ethnic or denominational or national traditions; rather, in the first place, it's about "dying to old identities" and embracing the difficult, but exhilirating and powerful journey of embracing and reconstructing a new Identity in Christ who "loved [us] and gave himself for [us]."
