Beginning with Martin Luther's quote which includes the words in the sermon title; I try to weave the story of David and Bathsheba, the cynicism expressed in Psalm 14 and Jesus' feeding of the 5000 into some sort of sense for those of us today who wonder what our sins mean and what it might mean to trust Christ
