Bring Your Pet for a Blessing!

In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi—whom the Church remembers each year on October 4—we joyfully invite you to bring your beloved pets and companions for a special blessing.

Why do we bless our pets?
For many of us, our animals are not only companions but faithful helpers and cherished members of our households. Through them we experience loyalty, comfort, joy, and often a glimpse of God’s tender love. To bless our pets is to give thanks to God for the gift of creation and to recognize the ways these creatures call us to be gentler, more loving people.

We celebrate pets as signs of God’s goodness and beauty, woven into the whole creation God has entrusted to our care. As many know from personal experience, pets lift our spirits, ease our loneliness, and remind us of God’s abundant love.

Come join us for this service of prayer and blessing to thank God for these dear companions and to ask God’s special care upon them. Dogs, cats, birds, plants, and any creature you hold dear are warmly welcome.
