John's Gospel is somewhat different than Matthew, Mark, and Luke; it is more "existential" and mystical.  The way John tells his stories is as important of what he tells.  He's forging a spiritual path for his readers, a path that allows them to experience a relationship with Christ while they read.  Fr. Allen shows how this works near the beginning of John's Gospel, a section that helps us see through the eyes of the original participants and by virtue of fundamental questions.
